To deliver on this mission, the Growth and Onboarding tech team is building onboarding and growth tools (Grow). Grow enables Amazonians to get personalized experiences to help them deliver for customers from Day 1.

As a Data Engineer on Growth and Onboarding, you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of data architectures and pipelines for a new platform that supports the growth and development of Amazonians.

As a Data Engineer, you will set a high bar throughout the data engineering lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations. You will collaborate closely with BI Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Learning Scientists to deliver high-quality data pipelines and architecture.

Key job responsibilities
Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions with a flexible and adaptable data architecture.
Contribute to the architecture and implementation of next generation data solutions from the ground up.
Manage AWS resources including S3, Athena, Batch, lambda etc.
Optimize automated processes for performance and fault tolerance.
Optimize support for ad-hoc analysis across various data sources
Collaborate with BI Engineers, Software Engineers, and cross-functionally to deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines.
Make large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable by applications and teams.
Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of data engineering experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using OLAP technologies experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using SQL experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using Oracle experience
- 3+ years of in the job offered or a related occupation experience
- 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using each of the following: ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)/ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
