Boeing is seeking an Engine Management Operations Specialist to support engine configuration accuracy and delivery execution across all Boeing narrowbody production andĀ aircraftĀ delivery programs.   This position collaborates with Final Assembly and Delivery (FA&D), Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations and Customer Teams to ensure engines are correctly built, installed, tested, and documented for on-time, compliantĀ aircraftĀ delivery.  The position works directly with Engine OEM teams to provide technical oversight, data-driven insights, and cross functional coordination toĀ maintainĀ propulsion systems integrity throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Position ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Support installation readiness and resolve build/installation discrepancies that couldĀ impactĀ production flow or delivery milestonesĀ 

  • EnsureĀ accurateĀ engine configuration records (build packages, modification status, LLPs, serialized-part traceability, and Airworthiness Directives) toĀ maintainĀ regulatory complianceĀ 

  • Serve as propulsion SME for pre-delivery activities (engine runs, flight ops,Ā complianceĀ and borescope inspections) to resolve issues before FAA/customer acceptanceĀ 

  • Provide technical support for engine nonconformances, discrepancies, and build issues to Liaison/Propulsion Engineering teamsĀ 

  • Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to address quality concerns, part shortages, and technical inquiries; review performance data and escalate production-impacting issuesĀ 

  • Lead resolution of customer issues (including comfort/commitment letters) and pursue cost recovery for production impacts causing disruptions or delivery delaysĀ 

  • Support production rate increases byĀ identifyingĀ constraints, evaluating OEM/supplier support plans, and recommending process improvementsĀ 

  • Lead root-cause investigations for installation, test, configuration anomalies, and conformity inspections; coordinate corrective actions with Quality, Engineering, and OEM partnersĀ

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate willĀ be requiredĀ to workĀ onsiteĀ at one of the listed location options.Ā Ā

Basic QualificationsĀ 

  • 5+ years of experience in engine operations, propulsion systems, manufacturing support, or related aerospace/aviation fieldsĀ 

  • 5+ yearsĀ of experienceĀ working with gas turbine engine systems, assembly processes, and regulatory compliance requirementsĀ 

  • 5+ years of experienceĀ interpreting technical drawings,Ā buildĀ records, service manuals, and configuration documentsĀ 

  • 5+ experience negotiating and resolving customer concernsĀ 

  • Ability to travel 5%Ā

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Level 4:Ā 9+ years of experience in engine operations, propulsion systems, manufacturing support, or related aerospace/aviation fieldsĀ 

  • Level 4: 9+ yearsĀ of experienceĀ working with gas turbine engine systems, assembly processes, and regulatory compliance requirementsĀ 

  • Level 4: 9+ years of experienceĀ interpreting technical drawings,Ā buildĀ records, service manuals, and configuration documentsĀ 

  • Level 4: 9+Ā Experience negotiating and resolving customer concernsĀ 

  • 5+ years of experience inĀ an aircraftĀ production or final assembly environmentĀ 

  • 5+ yearsĀ ofĀ experienceĀ with Boeing systems (CMES, REDARS, PDM, Velocity and configuration management tools)Ā 

  • Understanding of FAA/EASA type certification, conformity, airworthiness releaseĀ processĀ and delivery documentation requirementsĀ 

  • Experience coordinating with engine OEMs (GE, CFM, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce)Ā 

  • Experience problem solving and working in a cross-functional environmentĀ 

  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadershipĀ 

  • LeanĀ or Six Sigma trainingĀ
