Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Connect AI Finance team within Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) Finance organization.

This role works across the Amazon Connect business team to own new product pricing strategies for our Connect AI products, drive better understanding of growth opportunities, customer adoption trends, and break down blockers to growth. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage time sensitive deliverables across a matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.


Key job responsibilities
- Manage and develop the financial analysis processes for reporting on AWS revenue, pricing, capex and operating expenses.
- Partner with and proactively communicate across the finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables.
- Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance executives.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience Preferred Qualifications: - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
