The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a Flightline Operations Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA.
The candidate will lead integrated flight test teams to support the development and operation of experimental flight test aircraft. This role coordinates air vehicle maintenance, configuration, and test activities; directs IAM teams during maintenance execution; and drives process improvements while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety requirements. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on maintenance leadership with strong program coordination skills to enable safe, efficient, and effective flight test operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensure that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery
Interface with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance
Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals
Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manage, develop and motivate employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Experience (military or commercial) in aircraft maintenance and flight line operations
Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
Able to travel both domestically and internationally
Have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience managing a Collective Bargaining Unit (CBU)/hourly union-represented workforce
5+ years of experience with flight line operational experience in the areas of pre-flight/post-flight/aircraft release procedures in the support of customer focused flight testing
5+ years of experience using Product Data Manager (PDM), Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES) and (MESci) Mfg Execution System Common Image Support
Experience in leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
