The Paramount Hotel Seattle is seeking an experienced, hands-on, and service-driven Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations and help elevate the overall guest experience at one of downtown Seattle鈥檚 premier boutique hotels.

Position Overview

Under the general guidance and supervision of the General Manager, the Housekeeping Manager leads and manages all housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction and operational efficiency throughout the hotel. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping team, developing and implementing policies, managing budgets, and collaborating with other departments to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive experience in hospitality housekeeping and excellent organizational skills.

Essential Responsibilities

路 Develop, implement, and enforce housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards in line with brand and property expectations

路 Lead, mentor, and manage the housekeeping team, including supervisors, room attendants, laundry, and public area attendants

路 Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high performance and guest service levels

路 Plan and manage housekeeping budgets, labor costs, and inventory control to maximize efficiency and profitability

路 Monitor daily housekeeping operations to ensure quality, productivity, adherence to safety standards and compliance with City of Seattle housekeeping ordinances聽

路 Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Sales and other departments to ensure smooth room readiness, maintenance, and guest satisfaction

路 Manage laundry operations, including vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, and supply levels

路 Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and deep-cleaning programs for all guest rooms and public areas

路 Respond to guest complaints or service issues related to housekeeping promptly and effectively

路 Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations

路 Oversee Hotel Lost & Found program

路 Staff Scheduling

路 Oversee Team Appreciation events

路 Attend weekly Executive Staff Meeting

路 Prepare and present reports on housekeeping operations, budgets, and performance metrics to senior management

路 Lead initiatives to improve sustainability practices within the housekeeping department

路 Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development

路 Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Previous hotel housekeeping leadership experience required聽
  • Strong leadership and team development skills聽
  • Budget management and inventory control experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities聽
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure hospitality environment聽
  • Experience with scheduling, labor management, and inventory control聽
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards聽
  • Ability to provide constructive coaching in a professional and respectful manner聽
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed聽
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required聽

Education and Experience:

路 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in hospitality management or related field preferred; relevant experience considered

路 Minimum 5 years of progressive housekeeping experience in a hotel setting, with at least 2 years in a management or director role

Physical Requirements:

路 Ability to walk, stand, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods

路 Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally

路 Comfortable working in various environments, including laundry facilities and outdoor areas

路 Primarily indoor hotel environment, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and offices

路 Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and problem resolution

路 Interaction with guests, staff, and vendors regularly
