The Journeyman Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of complex building systems. This position requires a highly skilled and versatile professional with deep expertise in automated building controls and the ability to perform a broad range of technical, mechanical, and trade-related tasks. Ideal candidates thrive in a hands-on environment, enjoy problem‑solving, and can adapt to diverse maintenance and engineering challenges across a facility.
Key Responsibilities:
A Journeyman Engineer must possess a high degree of knowledge of automated building control systems and may also perform a wide variety of work requiring high skill levels and abilities, including but not limited to:
- Electricity

Required qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Must have successfully completed extensive specialized training courses --or--Â
- Demonstrated ability and experience may be accepted in lieu of education
- Upon hire:Â
- National Boiler Operator Grade I License - State County City Trade License Authority --or--
- National Boiler Operator Grade II License - State County City Trade License Authority --or--
- National Boiler Operator Grade III License - State County City Trade License Authority
- 4 years of building control systems inspection, testing, repair and maintenance in a hospital environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Systems, Building Control Technology, HVAC, or similar field
