Description
Apple Services Engineering is searching for an experienced manager to lead a team of program managers driving programs in the Apple Services Engineering architecture space. You will play a central role in driving the strategy and execution of programs that shape how Apple operates at scale. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll own scope, timelines, and cross-functional execution while building the next generation of program management leaders at Apple.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of program management, product management, systems engineering or equivalent experience 2+ years managing a team of technical program/project managers Excellent project management skills to drive schedules, dependencies, critical path and risks Solid technical understanding of and experience in large scale distributed software systems, cloud architecture, development and deployment, and bonus points for past development experience Experience working with globally distributed teams Experience with release planning and SDLC methodologies Familiarity with system reliability engineering (SRE) process and deliverables BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field or at least 5+ years of comparable experience
Preferred Qualifications
Strong relationship management and facilitation skills both within diverse engineering teams and cross functional organizations Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey information in a clear, concise and credible manner Ability to partner with product and engineering teams to translate user needs into actionable requirements. Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings) Experience in talent development, succession planning, and organizational design Experience building feature and technical roadmaps Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance short-term urgency with long-term organizational strategy Ability to identify gaps in solutions, debate approaches, and weigh in on tradeoffs Familiarity with open-source software development processes
