We have an amazing opportunity for a

Parkshore - Human Resources Director

to join our team!

This role pays between $110,000 to $140,000 DOE. We offer fantastic benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with 4% match, generous PTO, and so much more!

Our Director of Human Resourcespartners closely with leaders, engages directly with employees, coaches managers, navigates employee relations, supports recruiting and retention, and helps solve challenges as they arise. This is a “player-coach” role—someone who can develop the big-picture strategy while also jumping in to make things happen.

The ideal candidate is approachable, responsive, practical, and energized by people. You won't simply oversee HR from a distance—you'll build relationships, solve problems, coach leaders, and be a visible presence throughout the community!

This is a highly visible, hands-on HR leadership role for someone who enjoys being where the work happens. We are looking for an HR Director who can think strategically, but who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in the day-to-day work of HR.

Our Director of Human Resources:

  • Provides counseling, coaching and support to both leadership and team members of Parkshore on work-related issues, employee relations, policy interpretation, and creative conflict management/resolution. Guides leadership and others through legally-sound performance management and corrective action process
  • Develops and delivers human resources presentation materials, trainings and forms as needed and manages the New Hire Orientation and Culture of Excellence trainings.
  • Provides a variety of specialized recruiting services, including development of recruiting strategies, processes, and tools; generating a pipeline of qualified candidates and effectively filling open positions in a time sensitive manner
  • Coordinates annual benefits open enrollment for Parkshore in coordination with the corporate HR team. Ensures compliance with ACA and audit requirements for Parkshore.
  • Manages compensation and performance management programs for Parkshore, including owning the performance review process, oversight of annual increases, annual reviews of compensation, and compensation analysis for positions. Partners with corporate HR on compensation strategy and wage scales.
  • Manages special projects or initiatives related to recruitment, retention, culture, employee relations, training, and development in partnership with regional leadership and corporate human resources.
  • Understands local labor law requirements, including Seattle Labor Laws, in order to support Parkshore's daily operations, including, but not limited to recruiting, employee relations, performance management and leave management.
  • Administer community on-boarding Program and provide orientation for new Team Members.
  • Administers COBRA, LOAs, worker’s compensation, unemployment claims, and legal claims.
  • Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age and our Culture of Excellence in all areas of responsibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, four-year college in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, in a fast-paced business environment. At least five years of experience in a HR management role preferably with at least one direct report.
  • A working HR leader who leads from the floor, not just from the office.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day HR execution.
  • Demonstrated experience with full-cycle Recruiting and complex Employee Relations investigations.
  • Deep knowledge of employee relations, legal compliance, benefits management, leave management, performance management and compensation.
  • Experience in senior living, hospitality, home care or similar field highly desirable.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and employee database systems in a web-based environment. Experience using HRIS required, with experience with Workday preferred.
