This is a remote role.
The insurance verification position functions as an integral team member of the Revenue Cycle, providing account sponsorship: ensuring patient account reimbursement by obtaining demographic, complex insurance information, partnering with Care Management to provide clinical information, and ultimately ensuring the required authorizations are in place. Â

Required Qualifications:
1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration
Previous healthcare experience in either a provider or payor site
Experience in obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations

Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of related experience in a healthcare setting (i.e. financial counseling, insurance office)
1 year of experience with hospital precertifications
Experience with Epic computer charting
Experience with Availity and OneHealthPort payer sites
