The Program Coordinator plays an essential role in ensuring the success of our educational programs and community events. As a central member of our small team, the Program Coordinator oversees the coordination and administration of our core offerings–woodworking classes, home repair classes, and other arts-related programs and events–ensuring that staff, instructors, and participants are informed, organized, and well supported.

We are looking for a team member who thrives in collaborative, mission-driven environments and shares our enthusiasm for the arts, hands-on learning, and community engagement.

This is a non-exempt position, with a range of 24-40 hours/week (including some evenings and weekends). The compensation range is $31-35/hour, plus benefits. We will begin reviewing applications on May 1st, but the position will remain open until filled.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of class and event registrations–including refunds, transfers, waitlists, and financial assistance

Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants, responding to inquiries via email and phone in a friendly and timely manner

Provide onsite support for classes and events–welcoming participants, assisting instructors, responding to questions, and collecting and summarizing class feedback

Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and engagement efforts

Support community outreach and assist with social media posts, newsletters, and other communications

Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned organizational culture

Participate in weekly staff meetings

Handle additional duties as they emerge

Great communication skills and a warm and welcoming interpersonal style

Strong organizational skills and the ability to attend to nuanced details

Experience in program coordination, event planning, or a related field

Experience in the nonprofit sector, in the arts, or with hands-on educational programming is a plus

Proficiency with common office software (such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) and other online subscriptions (such as event or class registration platforms)

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of artists, volunteers, and community members
