We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team as Quality Inspector I in our Defense area.  The ideal candidate for this role will have 2 plus years of inspection experience, a high attention to detail, must be proficient with Microsoft Office, and have a strong understanding and aptitude for the use of measuring tools.    Purpose: Performs various inspections determining the acceptability of manufactured parts to ensure a quality product. Responsibilities: • Inspects and determines acceptability of Government, Military, Commercial products, other parts and sub-assemblies. • Performs receiving, first part, in-process, first article and final inspections. • Understands customer requirements and assures compliance to standards. • Ability to perform Quality Product Testing. • Performs calibration/validation for inspection equipment. • Maintains required documentation to assure process control. • Assists Set-up Specialists and others in corrective action on non-conforming parts or process controls to assure conformance on future jobs. • Assist in detecting problems and confer with lead or supervisor to resolve.  • Ensures the adherence to company safety and health standards, policies and procedures by monitoring personnel, machinery and work environment. • Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems. • Performs other duties as assigned.  Minimum Requirements: High school degree or equivalent preferred. Shop math preferred. Two plus years inspection experience preferred. Basic knowledge of inspection devices and tools required. Strong sense of responsibility, initiative and teamwork. Ability to work according to time lines and customer specifications required. Ability to work well with employees at all levels in each department who come from various backgrounds and may require special communication methods, (i.e. Braille, large print, interpreter, voice only) required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, Access, Word, Outlook required. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong organizational skills required. Ability to follow clear instructions and provide prompt feedback or results. Strong communications skills.
