The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is looking for an experienced strategic leader to lead a team that establishes and maintains global occupancy planning strategy, process development, and continuous improvement. GREF is responsible for Amazon's corporate office portfolio, creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon's corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations, all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon. Within GREF, the Global Occupancy Planning Strategy team establishes the strategy and supporting mechanisms that GREF utilizes for managing global space allocation, working closely with GREF Product, GREF Tech, and GREF's Space Planning teams within their respective regional portfolio management orgs.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end occupancy planning strategy and process at a global level from vision and framework development through execution and optimization. With your team, you will work closely with internal customers, collaborate cross-functionally to understand and define occupancy planning needs, and maintain ownership over occupancy planning systems, reporting, and mechanisms. You will identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive organizational effectiveness at a global scale. You will work in tandem with the OP Product team, which owns developing the required software products to execute on your strategic goals. This high-visibility role will impact the success of the GREF organization and directly impact business partners across the company.

The position requires strong customer-centric strategic planning, analytical skills, problem solving, and excellent communication skills. This leader will lead with curiosity and work collaboratively to solve problems across complex systems. They will dive deep into portfolio planning and space allocation, and own defining the global strategy and mechanisms to deliver on occupancy goals. A track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a must. Being self-driven, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities is key to success. This role is a great fit for someone who is sensitive to the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences.


Key job responsibilities
- Define and own the overarching global occupancy planning strategy end-to-end from strategic vision through process design and execution
- Lead and develop a team to define, execute, and continuously refine strategy and supporting processes
- Drive global process standardization and streamlining to create a more efficient and scalable organization
- Work closely with all stakeholders to achieve defined KPIs and strategic objectives
- Distill diverse inputs from internal customers to ensure shared success and alignment at a global level
- Work collaboratively with Product, UI/UX, and regional teams to inform and support product strategy
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators to measure strategic impact and operational efficiency
- Look around corners and manage trade-offs to mitigate long-term risk
- Identify and remove bottlenecks, drive process improvements, and implement scalable solutions across the global portfolio
Basic Qualifications: - Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
- Experience in Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting
- 5+ years of property management, asset management, portfolio management and/or real estate financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, management, real estate, or another related field
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing global strategies, processes, and systems that drive organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency across multiple regions or business units Preferred Qualifications: - 10+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience
- Master's degree
- Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
