Based in Seattle, with locations in NYC and Maryland, we help companies deliver their brand worldwide through creative, print, and fulfillment services.   ABOUT THE ROLE The Shop Floor Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the printing facility, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This role supports the printing and production team by keeping shop floors, machinery, and equipment areas clean, handling waste management, and assisting with basic facility maintenance tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES Sweep, mop, and vacuum shop floors to keep all areas free of debris, dust, and spills. Maintain a clear, non-slippery surface to ensure the safety of production staff. Use industrial cleaning equipment as required. Regularly collects and disposes of waste, recycling materials as per facility guidelines. Manage disposal of paper scraps, cardboard scraps, and other industry-specific waste. Report any shortage or maintenance issues promptly. Notify the maintenance team about larger repairs needed or issues requiring specialized attention. Follow OSHA guidelines and facility safety protocols, using PPE and ensuring safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Maintain a clean and accessible emergency exit path on the shop floor at all times. QUALIFICATIONS Previous custodial experience preferred. Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred. May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance ESSENTIAL ABILITIES Technical Capacity Self-Motivation Customer/Client Focus Attention to Detail Time Management Problem Solving Reliability and Punctuality Flexibility PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Ability to frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Standing for long periods of time (8+ hours). Flexibility in work hours may be required. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is predominantly held on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Varies from inside the office to outdoors at job sites.
