Brand Innovation Lab's TEX (Technology & Experience) design team is seeking a Design Ops Manager who can make the operational side of our team work as well as the creative technology side. You'll own two things: our operational excellence for campaign workflow that keeps projects moving and our global design system.

The TEX XD team is a group of user experience and interactive designers who move fast, juggle concurrent campaigns for major global brands, and operate with significant creative autonomy. You'll own the operational infrastructure that keeps that possible while also raising the quality bar through consistency, shared standards, and feedback loops that connect what ships back to what gets built next.

The design system is the majority of the job. It will serve most advertising campaigns and prototypes that comes through BIL across categories, markets, and platforms starting with Brand Store pages and extending to surfaces such as FireTV, Alexa and video. You'll partner with global stakeholders to define and operate our governance and standards that scale across all surfaces while staying useful to the designers and engineers building the work.

You'll report to the Experience Design Manager quickly becoming a vital team member who works cross disciplines daily.

Key job responsibilities
Own governance, maintenance, and evolution of the design system, including how designers and engineers contribute to it, how it's versioned, and how adoption is tracked.

Build research and measurement into the system itself feeding usage data, performance, and qualitative feedback directly into what gets built, deprecated, or improved.

Identify what's missing, propose what to build next, and prioritize the roadmap.

Scale mechanisms for workload visibility, capacity planning, and resource allocation across concurrent campaigns.

Evangelize the design system and the team's work through how you communicate, how you show up cross-functionally, and the processes you put in place.

A day in the life
Morning: you're reviewing incoming requests triaging to who has the right expertise for the campaign. Mid-morning, you're running design system office hours a designer requesting a feature for a component and needs guidance. After lunch, you're pulling adoption metrics and campaign performance data to decide which components need iteration and which are ready to scale. Then you're in a working session with analytics team, connecting their findings back to system priorities. End of day you join a sync with the Experience Design Manager about planning for next quarter.
