Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to oversee design development and launch of our drone operations sites. This role will be responsible for ensuring we have drone operation sites designed to integrate across the drone vehicle, our traffic management system, and the Amazon fulfillment network. This role requires the ability to work across cross-functional teams ranging from engineering to construction management to drive us to integrated site designs. Strong technical communication, documentation, and schedule planning skills are a must. You will directly support the leader of the operations site engineering and work within the Office of the Chief Engineer.
Key job responsibilities
Own and drive program level milestone tracking and implementation, dependency mapping, and schedule updates.
Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, presenting strategies and results to senior leadership and operational partners
Directly support leadership in defining roadmaps, setting goals, tracking progress to plans, and ensuring cross-team integration.
About the team
The Office of the Chief Engineer includes teams spanning the drone vehicle, our traffic management system, and operational sites engineering. This gives us the ability to be nimble and move quickly and reduce overhead as we develop integrated products and solutions in a highly complex, cross-functional space. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience with engineering product development programs, especially in vehicle design, hardware design, and/or operations. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with air, space, or ground vehicles, particularly autonomous vehicles
- Experience in owning Product Development roadmaps, portfolios, and project plans
- Background in Systems Engineering, including requirements development, trade study management, and performance metrics tracking

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
