Job Description

Harborview Medical Center’s Psychiatry Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Staff Scheduling Coordinator.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule RN’s, Patient Service Specialists, and Patient Care Techs in scheduling software (UKG Pro.)
  • Record keeping including tracking minimum shift requirements for intermittent staff members, and tracking timecard exceptions
  • Process shifts requests
  • Answer questions from staff members re: staffing/scheduling questions
  • Schedule staff members for last-minute shifts
  • Practice fiscal responsibility be minimizing the use of overtime and maintaining productivity within target range

REQUIREMENTS

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of administrative experience.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

DESIRED
Excellent written and oral communication skills; this role will interact with staff members and communicate regularly with the hospital staffing office
The ability to prioritize and organize tasks
Computer literacy including UKG Pro. (can be learned on the job) and Outlook (email, Teams, OneDrive)
Knowledge of Union contacts (can be acquired on the job) to ensure scheduling complies with contact language
