UW Medical Center-Montlake - Environmental Services Waste/Linen Department has an outstanding opportunity to hire a Temporary Stockroom Attendant. This position is benefits-eligible and anticipated to be up to 12 months in duration.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Temporary Day shift position

  • 100% FTE (40 hours per week)

  • Monday – Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS        

Delivers clean linen to the units and clinics, meet trucks from laundry and answers customer call.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take inventory of clean linens in units, clinics, and storage areas; track and record counts using LinenHelper on an iPad.

  • Deliver clean linen carts to units and clinics based on established par levels, including rush and non-stock orders as needed.

  • Monitor and adjust linen par levels regularly to meet departmental needs.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to linen service calls and OR/unit requests via pager or cell phone; log all customer interactions.

  • Maintain clean linen storage areas in an organized manner using proper rotation and ensure linen carts are always covered.

  • Report operational issues and assist with general inquiries from hospital staff.

  • Participate in staff meetings, respond to emails, and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with workplace standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Six months of full-time experience as a Stockroom Attendant I

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
