This position performs a variety of front office clerical and support tasks within the primary care and specialty departments. Â Primary responsibilities include management of patient referrals, patient registration (where applicable), patient scheduling, scanning, and customer service. Â Answers the phone, greet visitors, and a variety of clerical services. Â Orders/maintains office supplies, back-up support services, and collect co-payments. Â Schedules appointments including the coordination of multiple same-day patient appointments with different disciplines. Â Arranges for interpreter services, when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in a Medical/healthcare setting; or
- 2 years of experience in a Customer Service role.
- 6 months of Recent receptionist or front desk experience.
- 3 months of Related experience (recurring appointments).
- Experience with medical terminology and basic medical record processes.
