Job Summary:Ā 

TheĀ Sales Representative – Specialty Medical ProductsĀ is accountable for portfolio expansion, strengthening customer relationships,Ā leveragingĀ GPOĀ contractsĀ andĀ providingĀ in-service (technical,Ā clinicalĀ and educational) in the acute hospital setting to hospital customers.Ā Ā Our reps areĀ viewed asĀ a trusted advisorĀ toĀ theirĀ customers.Ā Ā This role not only requires an understanding of the clinical environment but must be able toĀ identifyĀ and solve customer issues.Ā Ā This is a highlyĀ clinicalĀ sales role that reports intoĀ the RegionĀ SalesĀ Director, Specialty Medical Products.Ā Ā Our SpecialtyĀ MedicalĀ ProductĀ portfolio consists of Pneumatic Compression, Nutritional Delivery, Electrocardiography, and Sustainable Technologies Product Reprocessing.Ā Ā 

Territory:Ā Ideal candidate location is in/around Seattle, Washington

ResponsibilitiesĀ Ā 

  • Responsible for driving sales and achieving sales goals acrossĀ SpecialtyĀ portfolio within assigned geographyĀ 

  • Identify, qualify, prepare, and execute effective sales strategies thatĀ maintainĀ the existing base of business and support the close of competitive and revenue growth opportunitiesĀ 

  • Lead territory opportunity development and activities that translate toĀ accurateĀ monthly, quarterly, and annual projectionsĀ 

  • EffectivelyĀ utilizeĀ and update sales tools to accurately address trends in existing base of business, create call strategies, and to manage territory and strategic business plansĀ 

  • Develop mastery of all products and sales applicationsĀ Ā 

  • Coordinate and collaborate with field sales, marketing & sales operations teams to drive incremental revenue and achieve target sales goalsĀ 

  • Present proposals, negotiate pricing and effectively differentiate Cardinal HealthĀ Ā 

  • Complete conversions and in-servicing, which includesĀ demonstratingĀ product applications,Ā functionalityĀ and use – (occasional night shifts)Ā Ā 

  • Build consultative relationships with key customers andĀ maintainĀ positive working relationships with external business partnersĀ 

  • Complete all administrative requirements inĀ a timelyĀ and comprehensive manner (expenses, compliance, CRM, as directed)Ā Ā 

  • Educate buyers and promote Cardinal’s products through participation in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directedĀ Ā 

  • Meet andĀ maintainĀ the requirements of all key vendor credentialing entitiesĀ 

  • Maintain knowledge of the current industry / competitive landscapeĀ including,Ā GPOs, healthcare economics, reimbursement,Ā competitorsĀ and competitive products etc.Ā Ā 

  • Foster productive relationships with Marketing, Customer Service, and other key internal stakeholder groupsĀ 

  • Resolve customer complaintsĀ in accordance withĀ Company policy, andĀ advisesĀ sales management promptly of any situation beyond authorityĀ

QualificationsĀ Ā 

  • Bachelor’s DegreeĀ or relevant experienceĀ preferredĀ Ā 

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of documented outside sales success in a competitive, sophisticated environment (complex capital or tangible products including medical/surgical, copiers, payroll solutions, information)Ā preferredĀ 

  • Medical Device industry experience preferredĀ Ā 

  • Excellent phone, written, and in-person communication skillsĀ Ā 

  • Key account development with experience accessing and developing key hospital decision-makers and influencers preferredĀ Ā 

  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving recordĀ Ā 

  • Ability to travel domestically and within region often involving overnight stays and stays up to one week in durationĀ Ā 

  • Ability to understand complex contracting and develop sound financial business case preferredĀ Ā 

  • Customer/Vendor credentialing isĀ requiredĀ (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected for an interview.Ā Ā
