Occupational Therapy (U)to join our team!
The Occupational Therapist supports clients’ well-being, independence, and functional abilities by providing evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic groups in Adult Day Health. This role also collaborates closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and high-quality program delivery.
Our Physical Therapist:
- Performs individual client assessments and develops personalized treatment plans.
- Makes recommendations for additional services as needed.
- Creates and maintains a safe, structured, and supportive group environment.
- Encourages appropriate participation and provides intervention as needed.
- Designs and leads therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities tailored to clients’ abilities and interests.
- Observes, documents, and evaluates group effectiveness.
- Works with clients, caregivers, and team members to review goals and adjust services accordingly.
- Communicates changes in client condition or service plans.
- Accurately documents updates and service-related events.
- Develops and delivers training on fall prevention, safe transfers, back safety, and other relevant topics.
- Coordinates and oversees walking programs.
- Recommends, orders, and maintains adaptive equipment to support client independence.
- Reviews group schedules for therapeutic value and recommends improvements.
- Trains staff on effective and safe therapeutic group activities.
- Provides guidance on functional maintenance programs and supportive client techniques.
- Completes documentation required by WAC guidelines and Full Life Care policies.
- Trains support staff in safe body mechanics and toileting assistance.
- Provides consultation to COTA staff as directed by the Supervisor and Washington State RCWs governing Occupational Therapy.
- Promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of Full Life Care and Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state
- At least one year experience in a healthcare or social services setting as an OT.
- Valid CPR certification
- Completion of an HIV/Aids information/prevention course.
- Annual influenza and other vaccinations may be required, unless granted a medical or religious exemption.
- Completion of a background check. Other requirements may include drug screen, TB test, fingerprinting, and/or physical depending on state/local guidelines.

- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
