Job Description

UW Medicine-Montlake- Food and Nutrition has an outstanding opportunity for an intermittent (temporary) Food Service Worker. This position provides workload coverage as needed to meet departmental needs.


WORK SCHEDULE

  • Days as needed between the hours of 6am-2:30pm.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides excellent, respectful customer service to a diverse customer base, in a medical setting
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages compliant with medically prescribed diet orders, including fluid, texture, electrolyte and nutrient restrictions in a medically vulnerable population or with special attention to food allergens and cross-contamination
  • Under general supervision, perform a variety of advanced Food Service Worker duties in preparing and serving food and beverages for medically vulnerable populations, or with special attention to food allergens and cross-contamination, and perform clean-up and sanitization activities for food equipment
  • Perform advanced Food Service Worker duties to prepare and serve food and beverages for medically vulnerable populations, or with special attention to food allergens and cross-contamination
  • Retrieval and processing of food and food preparation/serving equipment with adherence to healthcare-level infection and cross-contamination prevention protocols


REQUIREMENTS

  • Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage.

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

$21.70 hourly
