Harborview Medical Center Eye Institute has an outstanding opportunity for Per Diem Days Ophthalmic Technician, Acute Care Rapid Team.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist/and or perform complex clinical diagnostic eye examinations and procedures as delegated by the optometry, ophthalmology and acute eye care team

  • Complete all ophthalmic imaging tests as ordered by the physicians such Amler tests; Stero- tests, Applanation tonometry, Togopen Visual Field Goldman

  • Perform complex clinical diagnostic eye imaging and procedures within the cope of certification; patient intake activities, routine technical procedures, administer topical medications, assist with procedures

  • Demonstrate proactive, professional communication across and within the department to facilitate smooth workflow, and to ensure department is positively represented throughout the organization


REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of an approved ophthalmic technician program and one year of experience: Certified Ophthalmic Assist

  • or Equivalent education/experience
