The Position:  Prep seeks a Summer Geometry Teacher. Course Description: Students who wish to advance in their math course progression may take Geometry in the summer for credit through Seattle Prep.  Summer Geometry is a rigorous course that is best suited for students who are highly motivated and able to move through content at a faster pace than the regular school year. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to take Algebra II/Trig or Honors Algebra II/Trig during the following school year, depending on teacher recommendation. Eligible students:  •    Rising sophomores who have completed Intermediate Algebra as freshmen •    Students who earned an A in Intermediate Algebra Semester 1or teacher recommendation •    Incoming 9th graders with approval from the Academics office •    Students who are able to attend all in person and remote sessions •    Prep students only    Time Commitment:  •    6 weeks in June/July. •    June 15-July 24, 2026 •    No class on June 19 or July 3 •    Monday through Thursday in-person from 9 AM – 1 PM  •    Fridays are for asynchronous work and required synchronous office hours Course Requirements: •    Students take a mid-term after week 3 and a final after week 6.  Students are graded on growth checks, quizzes, homework, the midterm, and the final exam. •    Students will have daily homework Monday - Thursday and asynchronous assignments on Fridays.  There are also required virtual office hours on Fridays.  QualificationsMinimum qualifications:  A Bachelor's Degree in Math or a related field of study, and a minimum of two years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to Prep’s mission and values, especially as it relates to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging Supportive of the mission of a Catholic, Jesuit high school and formation of the whole person All employees must complete a criminal history background check and safe environment training upon hire and every 3 years Compensation: A total stipend of $7,860 - $14,301 (depending on education and teaching experience) Application Process:  Please submit a resume and cover letter online: https://www.seaprep.org/about-prep/employment      Seattle Preparatory School does not discriminate in its employment decisions or practices on the basis of gender, age, race, color, marital status, honorably discharged veteran or military status, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation or any disability which can be reasonably accommodated in the administration of its educational policies and school administered programs.
