UW Medical Center-Northwest - Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 5x8 shift schedule
  • Monday-Friday only
  • The anticipated work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Our clinic is located at our Outpatient Medical Center in North Seattle

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Our Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology Clinic is a multidisciplinary, state-of-the-art practice. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of auto-immune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus and other inflammatory illnesses. Our clinic also provides specialized consultations for asthma, food and drug allergies, and immunodeficiency disorders.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • This is a back-office nursing position, focused primarily on triage and InBasket support
  • We welcome experienced ambulatory nurses and nurses who are new to an outpatient setting to join our team

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Address clinical questions, referrals, and pending lab/imaging orders from the EPIC MyChart in-basket
  • Work in close partnership with MAs on patient inquiries 
  • Investigate chart notes for treatment recommendations and escalate questions to the providers 
  • Advise patients on symptom management, medication management, medication changes (perioperatively and surrounding vaccinations), and on calcium/vitamin D intake
  • Assist with CAM injection administration, injection teaching, and allergy IT shots 
  • Assist with rheumatology prior authorizations and insurance appeals
  • Assist with patient rooming and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of recent RN work experience in an outpatient clinic or an inpatient hospital setting
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
  • BLS

$45.59 hourly

$83.64 hourly

Other Compensation:

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus (for eligible new employees) BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour Certification premium - $1.25/hour Overtime pay
