$10,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine

University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake;s Interventional Cardiac Recovery Unit (ICRU) has an outstanding opportunity for a REGISTERED NURSE (RN).

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 100% FTE

  • Three different shifts support the unit (10-hour shifts starting at 06:00, 08:30 & 10:30)

  • No "Call"


DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services. 

Our services include general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct care to patients being admitted and recovered for procedures in the CARDIAC CATH and EP Labs

  • IV therapy, pre-procedure assessment and preparation, post-procedure recovery, access site management, and pre-post patient/family teaching prior to discharge or transfer to the inpatient Cardiology Services

  • Support cardioversions, transesophageal echocardiograms, implantable loop recorders and moderate sedation procedures


REQUIREMENTS

  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington

  • At least 2 years of cardiac, telemetry, or Interventional radiology experience

  • Current BLS & ACLS
