    Job Specific Competencies:    

Responsible for accurately organizing the office operations for Outpatient Clinic, Meadowlands Cardiology PC and Employee Health.   

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.   

Coordinate care throughout patient visit (lab, ekg, radiology)   

Maintains ability to quickly assess and respond appropriately to emergency situations.   

Answer phone calls courteously, and take clear and concise phone messages   

Monitors and responds to all emails throughout the day regarding incoming patient referrals   

Organize surgical dates, schedule and confirm appointments daily   

Accurately register all patients including insurance verification   

Obtain Letters of Protection (LOP’s) from attorneys when necessary   

Create new patient consent packets and charts   

Prepare charts/transportation list for the next day   

Maintain order and deliver charts to medical records timely   

Type correspondence, reports, memos, and forms as requested by physicians   

Complies to all job functions within required time frames   

Send fax requests for outside records   

Other responsibilities assigned by supervisor as deemed necessary  


    EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  

 H.S.Diploma, college degree in related field preferred.   

Previous experience in a hospital setting in the Registration/Admission Department preferred.  

    CREDENTIALS + QUALIFICATIONS:  

    Excellent computer skills  

    Knowledge of Insurance and Insurance Verification Process   

Knowledge of EMR, CareVue, MediTech
