Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Reception in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will greet visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor security-related systems, and communicate professionally with employees and guests. You will help create a welcoming, secure environment through exceptional service, attention to detail, and integrity. Pay Rate: $21.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at the front desk of a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access policies.
• Monitor and manage visitor access, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate entry records.
• Receive and direct guests, answer phones and/or inquiries, and communicate with appropriate site contacts regarding arrivals, deliveries, and access requests.
• Monitor front-desk security-related systems, report unusual activity or access concerns, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Support emergency response activities by following site procedures, communicating relevant information to personnel, and documenting incidents as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
