About the Role:
The X-Ray Tech/C-Arm plays a critical role in the diagnostic imaging process by operating specialized radiographic equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' internal structures. This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure accurate imaging that aids physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning. The role involves working closely with patients to position them correctly and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures. Additionally, the X-Ray Tech/C-Arm must maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to guarantee optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Valid state licensure to practice as an X-Ray Technologist in the United States.
- Demonstrated experience operating C-Arm fluoroscopy equipment.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certification in fluoroscopy or C-Arm operation.
- Experience working in surgical or interventional radiology settings.
- Familiarity with digital imaging software and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities:
- Operate X-ray and C-Arm imaging equipment to produce clear and accurate diagnostic images.
- Position patients appropriately to capture the required images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to understand imaging requirements and provide necessary support during procedures.
- Maintain and perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and oneself.
- Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff or students as needed.
