The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations at Sedron Technologies and/or its subsidiaries. This role performs general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and assists with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and compliant with GAAP.  


The Accountant works closely with the finance team and cross-functional partners to support budgeting, audits, and financial reporting activities. This is a foundational finance role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment. 


Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:

  • Perform general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis as part of the monthly close process 
  • Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including multi-entity consolidations.  
  • Perform details job costing and cost allocations across multi-departmental operations and concurrent projects.  
  • Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timely recording 
  • Support preparation of schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings 
  • Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts; research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner 
  • Maintain fixed asset records including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules 
  • Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis by providing accurate financial data and reports 
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards 
  • Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and documentation 
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by finance leadership 
  • Participate in ERP or accounting system upgrades and implementations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 2–5 years of general accounting experience; manufacturing or project-based industry experience preferred 
  • CPA designation or active pursuit preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel; experience with financial reporting tools a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP; high attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies 
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial record-keeping 
  • Working knowledge of financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines during high-volume close periods 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams 
  • Strong working knowledge of excel. 
  • Integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information 
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal, reading, and written communication skills in the English language

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Compensation for this role is between $81,000 - 115,000 annually
  • This role may qualify for a discretionary bonus, recognizing outstanding contributions to team and company success
  • In compliance with state and local pay transparency laws, the expected compensation for this role is shared above. The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role and the final offer will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location. Compensation may be adjusted within this range to reflect regional cost-of-living differences in states where Sedron is hiring.
