Opportunity

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Primary Care Physician or Nurse Practitioner to provide on-site medical services within a federally supported residential youth program in Sedro-Woolley, Washington 98284.

Our client operates a comprehensive residential program serving young adults, ages 16–24. The program’s mission is to prepare participants for meaningful employment and independent living.

This role provides direct clinical services to students and collaborates closely with residential and program staff in a structured, community-based environment.

Position Overview

This is a part-time contract position, approximately 12 hours per week.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday within center operating hours
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No weekends required
  • Location: On-site in Sedro-Woolley, WA (no telehealth or remote option)

Scheduling flexibility is available within center operating hours to support student health needs and program operations.

Key Responsibilities

The physician will provide comprehensive on-site primary care services to enrolled students and maintain an active presence within the Health & Wellness Department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting cursory medical evaluations, typically within 48 hours of student entry
  • Performing physical examinations and providing routine and preventive primary care services
  • Ordering, reviewing, and overseeing required entry laboratory studies, including hemoglobin or hematocrit testing, pregnancy testing, Pap smears (age-appropriate), chlamydia and gonorrhea testing, HIV testing, and urine drug screening
  • Administering and overseeing immunizations, including boosters for incomplete immunization series, hepatitis B vaccinations for health occupations training students, and Tuberculin skin testing (Mantoux)
  • Performing vision and hearing screenings
  • Assessing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Providing prescription services in coordination with nursing staff and the Center Mental Health Consultant
  • Coordinating care with interdisciplinary staff and referring students to off-center physician services or specialists when advanced care is required
  • Promoting preventive health education and wellness initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with federal program standards and healthcare regulations
  • Upholding all professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

Licensure

  • Candidates must hold an active and unrestricted Physician license in the State of Washington and be able to practice independently.

Certifications & Credentials

  • Current DEA registration
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Active malpractice/professional liability insurance and general liability insurance

Experience

  • Experience providing primary care services in adolescent health, family medicine, community health, or similar clinical settings preferred
