What You'll Do

  • The Machinist is responsible for the machining of new and repair part products to print specifications
  • Perform operational functions of CNC machines, maintain proper maintenance of machine equipment
  • Reading of blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required
  • Observe machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements
  • Maintain a safe work environment and keep work area clean and organized
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with company code of conduct, policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements
  • This position is performed in a climate-controlled shop environment
  • Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs
  • Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
  • Work in both cold and hot climates
  • Work in or near industrial hazards
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to meet demands of the role

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC and Manual machining (proficient in Lathes, Vertical mills, Horizontal mills, key setters, grinding)
  • Ability to apply basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, work orders and drawings
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools at a speed necessary for successful job performance
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, climbing.

Your Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
