Job DetailsJob Location: SNGE - Seminole, OK 74868Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: AccountingSUMMARY:     The Accountant is responsible for compiling data for audits and preparing financial information for the gaming operations for one or multiple gaming facilities. The accountant is responsible for meeting monthly financial reporting deadlines along with quarterly and annual financial deadlines. The accountant is responsible for reconciling all related Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts, general and specialized accounting duties and providing all supporting documentation to account balances of the Seminole Nation Gaming Enterprise. The accountant is also responsible for approving monthly journal entries and accounts payable processing.  The ultimate objective of this position is to help advance the Seminole Nation by delivering value and signature moments every day. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to the following: Creates and supports a work environment/culture focused on building high-trust relationships by extending support and respect to all Responsible for entering financial data such as accruals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the accounting system accurately and timely daily Maintains daily excel spreadsheets containing reconciled accounting data Performs monthly reconciliation within and from subsidiary systems as requested Assists with monthly financial reconciliation as requested Perform account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct Keeps all reconciled paperwork in good order and in accessible areas Maintain strict confidentiality of all records, reports, and data Establish and maintain files according to policies and procedures Supporting the Controller as needed   KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, or in a related specialization and at least 2 years experience in general ledger accounting, or similar QualificationsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, or in a related specialization and at least 2 years experience in general ledger accounting, or similar MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Supervisory responsibility over Account Clerks. PROBLEM SOLVING: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
