JOB DESCRIPTION:

The nurse in this position demonstrates a high level of expertise in diagnosis, treatment, consultation and follow-up of patients under the supervision of one or more physicians.  Orders and interprets test results, recommends treatment of patients, administers therapeutic procedures, prescribes therapy or medication.  Characterized by an increased complexity of clinical decision-making ability. 

EDUCATION

  • Masters of Science in Nursing, Masters of Nursing or equivalent Nurse Practitioner Degree.

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in clinical area (2+ years) preferred.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS:    

  • Current Washington State RN Licensure.  ARNP with prescriptive authority in Washington State.
  • Maintains current DEA registration.
  • Maintains current CPR.
  • Maintains appropriate scope of practice/privileges and membership on the OMC Allied Health Professional Staff.
