Job DetailsJob Location: Jamestown Family Health Clinic - Sequim, WA 98382Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.91 - $27.18 HourlyJamestown Family Health Clinic is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Medical Assistant to join our collaborative healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a Physician, ARNP, PA-C, or other licensed healthcare provider. What You'll Do As a Registered Medical Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting both patients and providers by: Providing services consistent with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Occupational Analysis and Skill Sets. Rooming patients by obtaining and documenting vital signs, patient history (when appropriate), and chief complaints according to clinic protocols. Maintaining accurate electronic medical records, including scanning, recording, and updating patient information. Processing provider orders, prescription refill requests, and medication or procedure pre-authorizations. Recording patient charges for electronic billing. Assisting providers with patient follow-up, including communicating laboratory and radiology results as directed. Preparing patients for laboratory and radiology procedures. Scheduling diagnostic testing and specialty referrals. Performing waived laboratory testing, wound care, and other delegated clinical procedures under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Recognizing and responding appropriately to urgent and emergent situations according to established protocols. Maintaining exam rooms, medical supplies, medications, and immunization inventories. Performing basic patient triage following clinic protocols. Maintaining professional conduct, appearance, and excellent patient service. Building positive working relationships with providers, staff, and leadership. Documenting work processes and participating in quality improvement and clinic meetings. Following all Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe policies and procedures, including HIPAA, safety standards, and the Occupational Exposure Control Plan. Performing other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Current Basic CPR Certification through the American Heart Association. Knowledge of medical terminology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to remain calm and effective in a busy or high-stress environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures and billing processes. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and processes. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed. Valid Washington State Driver's License. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years of healthcare experience, including experience as a CNA, Medic, or other related medical role. Knowledge of local, state, and federal healthcare laws and regulations. Understanding of office administrative operations, personnel management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Strong time management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative. Physical & Working Conditions This position requires the ability to: Lift, push, and carry up to 30 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, twist, and climb for extended periods. Perform repetitive reaching above and below shoulder level. Maintain manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Use a stethoscope and telephone effectively. Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and excellent patient care.
