Job DetailsJob Location: 522 N 5th Ave, Sequim, WA - Sequim, WA 98382Salary Range: $20.00 - $35.00 HourlyPOSITION SUMMARY The Health & Wellness Specialist is responsible for ensuring a positive and unmatched experience for our clients by providing cash-based services that complement traditional physical therapy. This role includes functioning as a fitness trainer, stretch therapist, and health coach to provide a holistic standard of care. The Specialist will greet clients, conduct wellness assessments, and implement personalized programs to support long-term health goals. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, scheduling wellness sessions, data entry into the EMR system, and retailing nutritional or fitness products. The Specialist must project a warm, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor while fostering a supportive team environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ● Provide 1-on-1 and small group fitness training, assisted stretching, and health coaching sessions. ● Assist with patient care transitions from physical therapy to cash-based wellness programs as directed by the physical therapist. ● Prepare and clean wellness areas, manage equipment maintenance, and maintain a presentable clinic environment. ● Schedule appointments following the FYZICAL model and enter appointment dates and times into a computerized scheduler). ● Detail-oriented with superior communication, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. ● Anticipate and address client needs and communicate the benefits of supplemental wellness services effectively. ● Reflect company culture by treating every client with the utmost courtesy and attention. ● Record client progress, including scheduling, cancellations, and session notes in the EMR system. ● Collect all monies due at the time of service for cash-based programs. ● Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to inquiries, and scanning essential documents. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Leads by example and exhibits solid teamwork while promoting the core philosophy of FYZICAL. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Relevant certification in Fitness Training, Stretch Therapy, or Health Coaching required. Minimum one (1) year prior work experience delivering exemplary client service preferred. EXPECTED WORK HOURS Estimated 12-29 hours per week during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm). OTHER BENEFITS & COMPENSATION Other Compensation: This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives and bonuses related to clinic performance goals and the sale of retail items and wellness services. Retirement: All employees are eligible to participate in the company 401(k) retirement plan. Paid Sick and Safe Leave (PSSL): You will accrue 1 hour of PSSL for every 40 hours worked in Washington, which can be used for qualifying medical or safety reasons for yourself or family members. WA Paid Family and Medical Leave: Participation in the state-mandated insurance program, providing up to 12–18 weeks of paid leave for qualifying life events (eligibility is based on total hours worked in Washington across all employers). Vacation (Paid Time Off): Part-time employees are eligible for the company’s vacation plan with accruals based on hours worked and years of service. Professional Development: Eligibility for internal training programs focused on the FYZICAL model of client care and administrative excellence.
