Description

What You Will Do 

 

  • Assist with field surveys in a mining environment
  • Assists with buried utility location surveys
  • Assists and completes a survey "as-builts" on new and existing features
  • Maintains and updates appropriate documentation and electronic files
  • Prepares and presents findings to Engineering, Geology, and Operations personnel
  • Compiles data for blast hole patterns, road designs, etc., including basic cartography
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

What You Bring To Freeport

 

  • Six (6) months of experience in mining, construction or a related field
  • A valid driver's license is required for this job

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous surveying experience
  • Ability to learn and operate computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing (keyboard dexterity)

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $21.00 - $29.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process. What We Require   

 

  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.  
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.  
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
