If You're the Person Everyone Calls When Something Breaks, We Should Talk.

You know the type.

The sink is leaking. The TV suddenly has "no signal." The thermostat is doing something it definitely wasn't doing yesterday. Someone has already unplugged the router three times, and somehow that made things worse.

And then somebody says:

"Call the maintenance guy."

If you're usually that guy - the one who can walk into a problem, figure out what's actually wrong, and get things working again - Mountaineer Cleaning & Maintenance may have a spot for you.

We're Hiring a Vacation Rental Maintenance Technician

We're looking for an experienced, dependable maintenance professional to help take care of vacation rental properties throughout our service area.

This isn't a job where you'll stand in the same building staring at the same four walls every day. You'll work across multiple properties, handle a wide variety of maintenance issues, and spend a good portion of your day figuring things out.

Some days will be routine.

Some days will absolutely not be routine.

That's kind of the point.

And If You Know HVAC? Now You Really Have Our Attention.

HVAC experience isn't required for this position, but if you have it, we definitely want to hear from you.

Someone who can handle general property maintenance and confidently diagnose and repair HVAC issues brings serious value to our operation - and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

Bring us that experience, and we'll make it worth your while to bring it to Mountaineer.

Tell us about your HVAC background when you apply. Experience and skill matter here, and we're willing to compensate accordingly.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll help keep our vacation rental properties safe, functional, and ready for guests. That includes:

  • Completing general maintenance, repairs, and property projects
  • Performing routine property inspections
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting appliances, plumbing, HVAC, Wi-Fi, TVs, and other household systems
  • Handling minor repairs before they become major repairs
  • Maintaining and servicing hot tubs - we'll provide training
  • Coordinating with outside vendors when a repair requires a specialist
  • Documenting completed work and communicating with the team
  • Participating in team meetings and helping us stay ahead of property issues

In other words, we don't expect you to know how to rebuild an air conditioner with a screwdriver and sheer determination.

We do expect you to know when you can fix something, when you need to troubleshoot further, and when it's time to call someone who specializes in it.

The Person We're Looking For

You don't need to know everything.

You do need to be the kind of person who wants to figure things out.

We're looking for someone with:

  • At least 2 years of maintenance or similar hands-on experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence using common hand and power tools
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • A professional, guest-conscious approach to your work
  • Basic comfort using technology, including an iPhone or iPad
  • The ability to lift 40+ pounds
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed

HVAC experience is a major plus - and additional compensation is available for the right candidate with HVAC skills and experience.

And one more thing:

Reliability matters here.

Vacation rentals don't care that it's Saturday when a water heater stops working. Our team depends on one another, and we're looking for someone who takes that responsibility seriously.

What You Get From Us

We believe good employees should be given what they need to do good work.

That includes:

  • Full-time, steady employment
  • Company vehicle
  • Company-provided tools
  • Company phone
  • Benefits available after just 30 days
  • Paid sick time
  • Paid time off
  • 401(k)
  • Health insurance assistance
  • Training for specialized responsibilities, including hot tub maintenance
  • A team that actually communicates and supports one another

No hunting down your own tools. No using your personal phone for everything. No wondering from week to week whether there will be enough hours.

About Mountaineer Cleaning & Maintenance

We take care of vacation rental properties, but we're also building something bigger than a maintenance schedule.

We want a company where capable people are trusted to do their jobs, supported when they need help, and recognized for what they bring to the team.

We're growing, and we're looking for people who want to grow with us.

Sound Like Your Kind of Job?

If you're dependable, mechanically inclined, good at solving problems, and would rather spend your day doing something than pretending to look busy, we'd like to hear from you.

And if HVAC is already in your wheelhouse, make sure you tell us. We may have an even better reason for you to make the move.

Apply today and tell us a little about your maintenance experience.

We'll provide the properties. They'll provide the problems. You bring the ability to solve them.
