IHC Jackson County in Seymour, IN is now recruiting for a Clinical Support Staff Coordinator. The Clinical Support Staff Coordinator works with the clinical staff and providers to ensure the day-to-day operation of the clinic is efficient and productive.

Clinic Hours of Operation:

Monday - 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday - 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday - 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Thursday - 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Friday - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Clinical Support Staff Coordinator responsibilities include:

Prepares medical and immunization histories.

  • Takes and records vital signs and other physical data.
  • Prepares patients for examination by the physician.
  • Assists physician in examining room.
  • Makes referrals as appropriate and necessary. Administrative:
  • Serves as site’s VFC Coordinator.
  • Trains new clinical staff; serves as clinical preceptor.
  • Prepares in-kind reports.
  • Completes and submits clinical PDSAs.
  • Orders clinical supplies.
  • Acts as liaison between clinical support staff and Practice Manager.
  • Attends management meetings and communicates relevant information to clinical support staff.

  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Cooperate with a multi-disciplinary management team.
  • Establish and maintain team-based working relationships with providers, employees, and clients.
  • Perform basic procedures such as obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, and basic labs.
  • Demonstrate skill in the use of standard medical examination instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Develop and implement clinical workflow procedures according to general instructions and protocols.
  • Participate as a member of the Local Management Team (LMT), if needed.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching, coaching, mentoring skills. Should be expected to attend the preceptor class and act as the preceptor for the clinical staff. 
  • Develop high performing work teams and maintain a team approach to problem solving.
  • Develop and manage clinical processes effectively and efficiently.
  • Analyze workflow and implement process improvements where necessary.
  • Design, initiate, and/or participate in process improvement projects.
  • Document standard process and problem-solving methods/techniques.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including typing and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, eCW, etc.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited MA or LPN program.
  • Medical Assistant certification or LPN license.
  • Spanish communication skills are a plus.
