Small Engine Service Technician

Responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable of both 2 cycle and 4 cycle small engine diagnosis and repair along with small Diesel Engines.
• Able to perform diagnosis and repair of Lawn & Garden Equipment, such as Lawn Mowers, Utility Vehicles, and Compact Tractors
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Complete training as required for the development of knowledge and skills
• Ability to learn and use the computer systems for Parts Lookup and Diagnosis of machines 
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Account for time and materials used in performing assigned duties
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other:

• Dependability and Efficiency is key as we have customers who need their machines back in a timely manner
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance of Lawn & Garden equipment
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly 

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience performing service repairs preferred
• Willing to work overtime and Saturdays when necessary
• Willing to perform work in the field when necessary
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associates degree preferred
