Responsibilities for Heavy Equipment Operator
- Performs daily preventive maintenance to heavy equipment (Fueling, Greasing and more)
- Operates a variety of construction class vehicles
- Operate vehicles with safety devices/precautions in place
- Works as part of a team under strict deadlines and safety guidelines
- Expected to work in a variety of extreme weather conditions
- Maintenance of licensing and certification on all vehicles the require licensing or certifications
- Wear Safety PPE at all times
- Attend all safety trainings and Perform all daily safety requirements as outlined by the RTS safety department
Qualifications for Heavy Equipment Operator
- Driver's license, required
- Clean driving recordÂ
- Ability to pass a drug test
- 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Understanding of job site safety procedures
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance on a variety of construction class vehicles
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts with 2 weeks' notice
- Willingness to be outside in a variety of extreme weather conditions
