Welder

The Welder is primarily responsible for reading, interpreting and executing routing, e-drawings, blueprint

weld procedures, and process control/quality documents to TIG and MIG weld mild steel, stainless steel

and aluminum per job specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Accurately punch in-and-out of work orders and record times and materials.

● Read and interpret blueprints.

● Source the materials used in projects.

● Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.

● Review finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.

● Maintain knowledge of various mechanical and manual welding techniques, including TIG/MIG.

● Perform other general sheet metal operations when needed, including drill and tap, hardware

installation, parts separation and extrusion.

● Review dimensional characteristics and finish requirements of parts and assemblies to the

requirements of the prints and quality standards.

● Conduct visual weld inspections to ensure adherence to all routing specifications and high quality.

● Collaborate with employees, operations, engineering and sales team to solve problems and

recommend plans of improvement.

● Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment.

● Operate forklift and hand truck as needed.

● Read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D model finish symbols for welding, grinding and all related

production.

● Utilize fixtures and necessary tools to successfully complete weldments.

● Utilize inspection tools to measure parts to customer specifications.

● Follow standard AWS welding safety procedures.

● Follow ISO procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry.

● Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

● Regular, reliable on-site attendance is required.

● Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.
