Warehouse Supervisor - Day Shift

Mitchell Distributing in Tupelo, MS is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead day-to-day warehouse operations and help ensure our team works safely, efficiently, and accurately.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to keep a fast-paced warehouse operation moving while setting clear expectations, developing employees, solving problems, and holding the team accountable for results.

Hours: 8am-5pm M-F

Compensation: $55K-$59K depending on experience

What You’ll Do

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.

  • Supervise, train, coach, and support warehouse employees to drive strong performance and productivity.

  • Set clear expectations for safety, quality, attendance, accuracy, and productivity.

  • Monitor workflow and staffing throughout the shift and make adjustments as needed to meet operational demands.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular monitoring, audits, and resolution of discrepancies.

  • Enforce company safety standards and promote a safe, organized work environment.

  • Identify and address operational issues involving inventory, product quality, equipment, workflow, or employee performance.

  • Partner with Operations, Delivery, Sales, and other teams to support timely and accurate customer deliveries.

  • Track and report key warehouse metrics, inventory information, and employee performance.

  • Look for opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce unnecessary costs.

  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices are consistently followed.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Previous warehouse leadership, supervisory, or management experience.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and workplace safety.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.

  • Beverage distribution or similar high-volume distribution experience.

  • Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Forklift certification.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas.
