Summary: Under the direction of the DOP, the pharmacy manager oversees the day-to-day operations, resolving problems, ensuring safe, literature based, and cost-effective medication management.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the proper utilization of resources (supplies, drugs, staff) within the department by implementing & monitoring initiatives to ensure the department is fiscally responsibleÂ
2. Hires & manages staff, participates in the annual staff evaluations, ongoing coaching and mentoring and employee rounding.
3. Manages scheduling, day to day assignments and payroll 4. Coordinates the efficicient distribution of medications to meet the needs of the patients.
5. performs necessary audits, rounds with employees, and actively participates in dept huddles to ensure performance and keep open communications
6. Actively participates in all committees and work groups to support the department, local and system wide improvement.
7. Precepts PGY1 pharmacy residents and pharmacy school students in applicable practice setting.
 8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Skills Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or BS with 5yr in acute pharmacy practice.
- Licensed RPh in applicable state (NY or CT)
- 3 years experience in a leadership role; Preferred: PGY1 Residency.
Working Conditions:
- Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

- Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
- Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
Salary Range: $82.58 - $153.34 hourly (Rate per years of relative experience)
