Job DetailsJob Location: Kennebec Valley - Fairfield, ME 04937Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Graduate Degree Title: KVCC Nursing Faculty (Full-time): Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) Nursing Specialist and Adult Medical-Surgical Nursing Specialist Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the Maine Community College System Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. Salary Range ($42,767.86-$54,177.05). Benefits include Retirement choice of Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePers) or Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA-CREF) - in lieu of Social Security; full employee health/dental insurance and approximately 60% of cost for dependent coverage; life insurance paid by the MCCS; Personal 2 days/year; Sick 9 days/academic year; and paid holidays. Responsibilities: The nursing faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned didactic lectures, lab, and clinical rotations in behavioral health (psychiatric) and medical-surgical nursing. Other responsibilities include the coordination of outpatient behavioral health experiences and simulation instruction. Nursing faculty members participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum and other activities pertinent to program accreditation. Faculty serve as advisors to nursing students and are active members of assigned College committees. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing, and an unencumbered Maine RN license 3–5 years of experience in the practice of behavioral health (psychiatric) nursing and medical surgical nursing Teaching experience is preferred Demonstrated professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative work style are essential Must meet clinical facility immunization requirements Why work for the Maine Community College System?
