The role you鈥檒l contribute:
The Patient Food Service Host, under close supervision, serves patients of diverse ages, cultures, and backgrounds by taking menu orders in person and over the phone, utilizing a computerized diet office application and basic knowledge of therapeutic diets.聽 Assembles tray and tray items and delivers food to patients.聽 Builds and maintains strong relationships with Nursing and provides excellent customer service to patients and their families.聽 Complies with the facility, Nutritional Services (NS), and regulatory standards.聽 Participates in department process improvement efforts.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Utilizes the computerized diet office application to guide and input patient menu selections to comply with the prescribed diet order.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Suggests complimentary menu items, condiments, and add-ons to comply with the diet order and improve patient satisfaction.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Verifies and reads back menu selections.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintains a record of patient preferences and pertinent information in the notes section of the patient鈥檚 account.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Utilizes bedside menu entry to record patient menu selections.
The expertise and experiences you鈥檒l need to succeed:
聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 High School Diploma or Equivalent
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 One year of technical experience.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Servsafe certification preferred
