Position Overview
Pay Range: $26.55/hr - $27.59/hr + $.60/hr upon backup result block completion
Hours: 5:30am ā 2:30pm, Monday ā Friday (Overtime as production demands)
Responsibilities
ā¢ Ā Ā Consistently manufacture āgreat tastingā sausage products according to specifications
ā¢ Ā Ā Work together with other Packaging Members to obtain World Class packaging results in safety, yields, usages, and efficiencies
ā¢ Ā Ā Learn and be part of developing and enhancing new technology in the packaging department
ā¢ Ā Ā Develop a strong set of world class skills in the area of packagingĀ
ā¢ Ā Ā Actively participate in daily Grill meetings and project teams
ā¢ Ā Ā Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire "superlative" performance in order to support the Johnsonville Way
ā¢ Ā Ā Grow, develop, and stretch yourself by continuing to find new and better ways to meet your commitments to yourself, your team and to JVL.

ā¢ Ā Ā Carrying tubs of sausage
ā¢ Ā Ā Lifting and moving boxes to pallets and moving pallets
ā¢ Ā Ā Inspection of finished product
ā¢ Ā Ā Identify products by code and enter the information into the freezer programs
ā¢ Ā Ā Ensure the proper operation of the freezer, conveyor systems, palletizing, and de-palletizing systems
ā¢ Ā Ā Monitor the status of products in the freezer and be proactive in the prevention of problems. Where prevention is not possible, resolve problems before they escalate.
Skills
ā¢ Ā Ā Strong written and verbal communication skills required
ā¢ Ā Ā Strong math background is required
ā¢ Ā Ā Must be able to complete production documentation paperwork accurately
ā¢ Ā Ā Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
ā¢ Ā Ā Must be able to maintain all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) Ā Ā
ā¢ Ā Ā Must be able to actively participate in a team environment
ā¢ Ā Ā Basic computer skills needed
ā¢ Ā Ā Ability to see and hear warning devices
ā¢ Ā Ā Ability to monitor a computer screen and make all necessary adjustments on the freezer and accumulation systems
ā¢ Ā Ā Ability to work in temperatures ranging from +40 degrees F in the packaging room to -10 degrees inside the freezer with proper clothing (provided)
ā¢ Ā Ā Must be able to withstand heights of 20 feet or more above ground
Other Requirements
ā¢ Ā Ā Must be at least 18 years old
ā¢Ā Ā Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check
