 As a member of this team, you’ll partner with other areas of the business, providing financial analysis for decision-making purposes. We’ll rely on you to report, plan and evaluate our financial results, as well as ensure our financial transactions and reports are timely, accurate and efficient. In short, you’ll help drive our exceptional financial performance.

Position Overview

Johnsonville, LLC, a strong, high-growth company, has an excellent opportunity for a driven finance leader to join us as the U.S. Manufacturing Network Controller. The successful candidate will serve as a key business partner to the U.S. Operations, providing financial leadership, governance, and actionable insights that enable operational excellence, cost competitiveness, and strong business performance across our plants. This role will lead manufacturing controllership activities, ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting, strengthen cost management practices, and coach finance talent to be strong catalysts for continuous improvement and value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and Drive Performance Management within the U.S. Manufacturing Network. 
    • Be the co-pilot to the two Sr. Directors - Operations
    • Build excellent relationships across the network
    • Turn data into insights – be insight driven
    • Bring numbers to life -know how to tell an inspiring story
    • Influence cross functional peers
  • Own the delivery of measurable business results by translating financial insights into clear actions, driving accountability across the plant network, and ensuring commitments are achieved
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight for manufacturing performance reporting, cost analysis, business planning, standard cost processes, and strategic decision support
  • Develop and coach Plant Controllers and their teams to create a culture of accountability, personal learning, and business partnership
  • Spend significant time in the manufacturing plants to build relationships, provide support and increase financial acumen across the network
  • Continuously learn the business, including manufacturing strategies, cost drivers, network capacity, and competitive landscape, while partnering across functions
  • Organize, optimize, and lead forecasting, target setting, variance analysis, and standard cost evaluations for the U.S. Manufacturing Network, including labor, overhead, yields, productivity, and plant controllable costs
  • Build scalable, repeatable processes that reduce manual work, strengthen data reliability, and provide consistent financial visibility across the manufacturing network
  • Participate on cross-functional project teams as needed, including network optimization, cost transformation, systems improvements, and operational excellence initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • CMA preferred but not required

Experience

•    Seven or more (7+) years of accounting and finance experience required; cost accounting and financial planning & analysis strongly preferred
•    Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
•    Strong systems background with knowledge of SAP, BPC, manufacturing cost systems, reporting tools, and Power BI preferred
•    Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring finance talent

•    Proven ability to collaborate with functional and cross-functional teams to drive for superlative performance

•    A strong desire to coach team members and plant finance partners to superlative results
•    Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including building and maintaining complex models, analyzing large data sets, and translating outputs into actionable insights
