Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Clinician II – School Based delivers comprehensive therapeutic services to patients in a clinic and school-based setting. This role provides assessment, diagnosis, counseling, psychotherapeutic intervention, substance use treatment, rehabilitation services, and care coordination for children, adolescents, adults, and families.
The ideal candidate is passionate about trauma-informed care, integrated behavioral health, and improving access to mental health services within schools and the community.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and provide diagnostic evaluationsÂ
- Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy servicesÂ
- Develop and monitor person-centered treatment plans utilizing SMART goalsÂ
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including:Â
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)Â
- Motivational InterviewingÂ
- Trauma-informed care approachesÂ
- Behavioral and stress management interventionsÂ
- Provide psychoeducation and disease self-management counselingÂ
- Assess and address substance use concerns and harm reduction strategiesÂ
- Coordinate care with schools, providers, families, and community agenciesÂ
- Provide crisis intervention and support during acute behavioral health episodesÂ
- Assist patients with access to housing, food security, transportation, benefits, and other social support servicesÂ
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EPIC EHRÂ
- Participate in weekly clinical meetings and interdisciplinary collaborationÂ
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery processesÂ
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in: Social Work; Counseling; Psychology; or Marriage & Family TherapyÂ
- Wisconsin licensure required: LCSW; LPC; or LMFTÂ
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferredÂ
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, psychotropic medications, and behavioral interventionsÂ
- Experience providing cognitive and behavioral interventions for behavioral health and substance use disordersÂ
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skillsÂ
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary care teamÂ
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification requiredÂ
- Must successfully complete provider credentialing, privileging, and background screening requirementsÂ
