Position Overview

 

The successful candidate will become part of the  Hexion instrument and controls team at the Sheboygan plant.  They will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and documenting the process controls equipment and instrumentation at the site while being supported by a regional controls team.  The candidate will be provided the opportunity to learn the operation of PLC programming and HMI interface development to improve their skills in the plant.  The candidate will also interface with SAP to provide detailed records of job completion.  In addition, they will be part of the plant improvement teams working to improve safety, environmental, and production processes.  The candidate can also expand their skills by assisting with other maintenance disciplines as needed to support the plant. 

Job Responsibilities

 
  • Configures, installs, and terminates instrumentation and controls per wiring schematics, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Performs hands-on installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting for all process equipment.
  • Supports safety improvements and PSM activity Build maintenance/equipment technical data and update equipment files.
  • Interact with vendors in getting parts identified properly for ordering and delivery.
  • Supports capital project work Provides marked-up documentation as required.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by Leadership.
  • Self motivated but able to work with a team.

Minimum Qualifications

 
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment as electronics, instrumentation or approved maintenance/electrical technician required.  
  • Experience with pressure, level, flow, and temperature related instrumentation. 
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming and I/O equipment preferred.
