Description
The Driver provides the residents transportation with the highest level of care to scheduled events in the surrounding community.
路 Transports residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events.
路 Coordinates transportation services with appropriate staff members.
路 Assists residents in and out of the vehicle, using proper safety procedures.
路 Operates mechanical lift as required for wheelchair bound residents.
路 Complies with traffic regulations to operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
路 Follows written and verbal protocol before leaving community with residents.
路 Monitors and reports necessary mechanical maintenance of vehicle.
路 Inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment.
路 Maintain vehicle logs as required.
路 Attend mandatory staff meetings and ongoing in-service opportunities. Annual requirements for continuing education must be met.
路 Read, understand, and follow all policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 路 Valid Driver's License in keeping with our company Fleet Policy.
- 路 Experience working as a driver is preferred.
- 路 Ability to read, speak and write in English.
- 路 Must have or be willing to obtain CBRF/RCAC certifications as needed.
- 路 Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- 路 Excellent communication skills.
